We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the men and women fought and died in the Normandy landings so we might live in freedom.  This is an account of that time from the point of view of the South Hams area in South Devon.  With personal testimony and newspaper coverage across the villages of Blackawton, Chillington, East Allington, Frogmore, Sherford, Slip-on, Stokenham, Street and Torcross in 1943.
