A History of Kingsbridge Quakers

This booklet is about the Quakers' presence in Kingsbridge from their beginnings in the 17th century.  It contains detailed records of individual Quakers in the town, including records of persecution, their meeting premises and burial grounds.  

Being Dissenters, Quakers were excluded from established professions and attending universities so became active in trade and commerc with a long history of good works and charitable donations.  In addition to this, the booklet covers records of individual families and renowned local figures.
